I came across the idea of walk and talk therapy on a Facebook Group to which I belong. To be honest, as the weather is improving, I had been considering the idea of offering outdoor sessions but I wasn’t sure how feasible that would be. One of the other practitioners in the FB group suggested I Google walk/talk therapy. I did and I found the below article posted on the American Psychological Association’s website.
I’m interested in feedback regarding the idea of walk/talk therapy or simply meeting outdoors for sessions. Clearly privacy issues need to be addressed and a plan put in place to maintain confidentiality. The article below addresses these, and other, issues. Feel free to comment or to email me directly with your thoughts.
